Project details

My first car was a burgundy Nissan 240SX with peeling clear coat and a decent engine. But, as soon as I got it home, I started taking it apart. With help from friends, forums, and a lot of trial and error, I upgraded the engine, swapped the transmission, and replaced the brakes and suspension. I learned how cars are built. If something broke, I felt like I could fix it. That car gave me the tools and the confidence to go exploring. Since then, every vehicle I have owned has been a step toward something bigger. Each one was chosen and designed to take me somewhere new and exciting. This project documents my biggest journey so far: driving from Alaska to Argentina along the Pan-American Highway, the longest road in the world.
